How We Choose Topics

There are endless things to write about in health and fitness. Here is how we decide which ones make it onto the site.

Questions real people ask

Many articles start with a question from a reader, a friend or a search we kept seeing: "Is it normal to feel tired after starting a new routine?", "What are the side effects of this supplement?", "How do I fit exercise into a twelve-hour day?". If lots of people are asking, it deserves a clear answer.

Everyday relevance

We favour topics that help with daily life over niche performance tricks. A guide to better sleep or a sensible strength routine is useful to far more readers than an advanced programme for competitive athletes.

Wider wellbeing

Feeling well is not only about workouts. We also cover recovery, stress relief, healthy social habits and the practical side of looking after yourself — including topics like dental care, self-care routines and quitting smoking.

What we avoid

  • trends with no sensible basis, or claims that sound too good to be true
  • topics that need individual medical judgement to be useful
  • anything that encourages extreme dieting or unsafe training

If there is something you would like us to cover, tell us through our contact page. Reader suggestions shape a good part of what we publish.
